All Wool

We make our felted wool sitting pads the traditional way: by hand using only 100% New Zealand wool, soap and water to give them a light, cozy feel that makes anywhere feel like home.

Hand-crafted

Much like Baabuk itself, our soft padded cushions have sustainability at their core, but with a stylish and comfortable finish. They’re created by a local Nepalese community in a felting workshop founded by one of our own Kathmandu team members who wanted to give back and bring jobs to his home village. Each sitting pad is made by hand by these craftspeople, using 100% wool to give you the quality you deserve.

Recycled

Our sitting pads are made with reducing waste in mind. Specifically, with no waste at all. At our Kathmandu workshop, we’ve never thrown any of our wool waste away. When trimming our molded slippers, we’ve held on to almost 120kg of wool scraps over the past 5 years. This means that we’ve managed to create our sitting pads out of 70% recycled wool, with the soft and squishy inside solely crafted using wool offcuts.
