MEET WHALEBUK. STORAGE WITH A SMILE.
Never again will your child’s room be a sea of unpicked-up toys again with this original playful whale storage bin complete with eyes, a mouth, flippers and a spout. Though not quite as big as the real thing, these still have a deep, roomy interior with plenty of room to swallow up toys, blankets and even kids playing hide-and-go-seek.
Handmade by local artisans in Nepal using 100% wool felt, they add a touch of quality and coolness to a family room and they’re also strong and resistant to stains, moisture and bacteria—making them a great addition to a kid’s room or play area. As kids get bigger so does their stuff so there are three sizes to choose from. Designed to be as unique as they are useful, Whalebuks are sure to make a splash with fun-loving kids and wool- loving adults alike.
We make our felted wool the traditional way: by hand using only 100% New Zealand wool, soap and water. The result is a natural material that’s soft and fluffy yet thick and hefty. Because artisans makes each piece of fabric, no two of these textiles are the same, adding to the singularity of every one of these products.
All elements on these bags and bins are stitched by hand with love and care in our Nepalese workshop, where the region’s traditional woolworking skills are still practiced everyday.
Everything from the vegan leather straps on the Bagbuk to the friendly, round eyes of the Frogbuk, has been expertly stitched by our local artisans—giving them an authenticity that makes each a functional work of art.
Life isn’t one size fits all, so your storage options shouldn’t be limited to just one option either. That’s why these unique bags and bins are available in three sizes to fit your personal style and ever-changing lifestyle. Each size has an interior that’s deep and roomy and a wide opening that makes for easy packing and quick access. All you have to do is pick the size (or sizes) that works best for you and you’ll grow to love these beastly bins.
