The People Behind the Movement: Why Our Community is Investing in Baabuk
Since we launched our crowd-investing campaign, the response has been more than just a financial milestone. We have officially surpassed our initial funding goal, raising over 400,000 CHF. But for us, this journey has always been about more than capital; it is about community.
We chose crowd-investing because we wanted our growth to be powered by the people who actually wear our shoes. By opening our equity to our customers, we remain independent and mission-driven. We recently sat down with several of our new co-owners to ask them a simple question:
Why did you invest in Baabuk?
Their answers reflect a shared belief in natural materials, Swiss innovation, and sustainable growth.

Voices of Our Co-Owners
David
"As a customer, it made sense to invest in a brand with which I share the same values. Financially, being able to benefit from lifetime discounts and eventually recover my base investment was an argument, but non-financially, I find it very interesting to be involved in a process I feel close to."
Francine | Childcare Provider
"I like the products and the ethics carried by the brand. I decided to invest because Baabuk inspires confidence in me. I am usually quite cautious and find it hard to trust financial advisors, but I believe the funds here will be used well to help Baabuk become better known."
Jean-Marc | Retired Journalist
"I traveled through Asia with my first pair that I bought 7 or 8 years ago. Even though they eventually had a hole, I abandoned them there with great regret. I love the company, its spirit, and its B-Corp values. Baabuk plays a useful role in short circuits, craftsmanship, and the circular economy. I find that short-term financial ambitions are often unrealistic, and Baabuk goes against that—which is exactly what I like."
Svajune | Digital Transformation & AI Professional
"I love the products; they are very high quality and comfortable. I also believe in wool and the sustainable side of Baabuk. I’m a long-term investor, and I have the feeling of doing something good—it’s a win-win situation for both of us."
Alexandre | Entrepreneur
"I have followed Baabuk since the creation; I even have the first prototypes developed at the very beginning and they are still operational. I adhere to the fact that the products used are largely natural with as little synthetic material as possible. As an entrepreneur, I believe projects make people and the economy move."
Anne | Editorial Manager
"I have known this brand and its creators for 8 or 9 years. I particularly appreciate the philosophy of Baabuk. For me, investing is a way to support the company."
Bruno
"I have a certain amount of Baabuk products at home, from slippers to sneakers and even boots. I invested because I believe in the business, the design, and the renewable side of the product. I don’t expect anything special in the short term; the idea is merely to support the business and see it grow."
Karine | Shopkeeper
"I believe in them. For 10 years, my whole family has worn their slippers and I see the excellent quality every day. Beyond that, I trust them to make good use of my investment. I want to see them grow and propose more products."
Isabelle | Teacher
"I’m wearing my Baabuks right now! I invested because I love wool and the respect accorded to the workers who produce the articles. I am not investing for speculation; I simply want to be informed about the company's progress and future developments."
Simone | Organizational & HR Consultant
"The founder, Galina, is a childhood friend of my husband, and we both love the products. This is a gesture of support and recognition for the great work they do."
